Future Champs Development Series- March 8, 2026

Once again, the community came together at M‑Town to celebrate our developing athletes (myself included). It was heart‑melting to watch some of our most elite fighters corner the tiniest ninjas. Godfather gave away his microphone to Hamzah Moin (Hamzahmoin. photos). I think Godfather either decided to challenge his vocal cords or he just forgot to order a second microphone.

Clinch Culture showed up this time, but they checked their culture at the door, stopping every clinch in three seconds. Kru Raj became the overprotective referee and told my lady Dragon partner and me not to throw any spinning backfists or kicks, no overhands, no head kicks, and no knees in the three‑second clinch. So we just stood there in the center of the mat and discussed summer plans.

This time around, I even developed with 15‑year‑olds. I’m taking that as a compliment! If I had a penny for every time Godfather pointed at me and told Kru Vince, “There is a big weight difference here,” I’d have three pennies! I’m not buying a piggy bank just yet. Could it be that Godfather is under the impression that I’m still growing?

I survived an accidental backfist from Denis Puric (Soi Dogs) as I was walking by. I think he was testing my reflexes. I also think Denis Puric is waiting for me to fully develop so he can fight me, but I don’t know… he kind of has the height advantage over me.

I absolutely love it when I go to an event with no plans to blog, but the energy is so amazing I just can’t keep quiet. I’m already looking forward to the next one (IG: futurechamps_ds).
